Championship Sailing Events at FBYC

FBYC History....

While reflecting on some of the club’s major sailing events over the past few years, I thought it might be instructive to look back in history to try and enumerate all the regional, national, and international racing events hosted by FBYC since its inception in 1939.  Accordingly I descended into the dank catacombs in which our archives are preserved and, brushing aside a menacing lacework of cobwebs, entered the darkened storage chamber to the protest of rodents scurrying beneath my feet.  In the dim flickering candlelight, I was able to retrieve decaying bundles of moldy club documents that bore an uncanny resemblance to the Dead Sea Scrolls.  These I carefully perused for many an hour before compiling the following list.  However, I cannot claim this list to be complete because some years of the Log have gone missing and my memory is fast fading.  Therefore I invite those possessing superior knowledge to send me corrections and/or additions that will help further embellish the club’s proud résumé.
