    MATHEWS YACHT CLUB CRUISE

    April 20, 2002

This is an easy, and very early cruise to just get away from our docks and have the opportunity to renew old friendships and begin to make new ones. We will depart Saturday at your leisure and proceed through the bridge to Gwynns Island and around to the Mathews Yacht Club. This is a beautiful area to explore via dinghy before we meet for a cocktail party on the dock. At this time, we do not expect the Mathews Yacht Club dining room to be open for business. We will coordinate a cookout at the clubhouse or will arrange transportation to dinner in "downtown" Mathews. Please contact the event chair to confirm your plans to attend so that we can make appropriate arrangements. NOTE: This event drew a particularly large contingent of motor vehicle "cruisers" who were unable to brave the treacherous passage by boat.

"Many suppose anything is good enough to serve men at sea...A Commander at Sea should do well to thinke the contrary, and provide for himself and company in like manner."
