Notice of Race
2002 Chesapeake Bay Laser Masters
Date: September 7-8
Host: Fishing Bay Yacht Club, Deltaville, Virginia
Rules: RRS, USSA prescriptions, Laser Class rules, SI's, Black flag
rule RRS 30.3 applies. RRS Category B regatta. Laser Class
membership required. We'll take your money but prefer you join the
ILCA before you arrive. And we'll ask to see your ILCA and USSA
membership cards on the basis that "in God we trust, all others
show proof"!
Class: Laser Masters (35+)
Schedule: Registration Friday 1800-2000 and Saturday 0900-1000
followed by skippers meeting. 1st warning signal at 1100 with up to
5 races. Unforgettable dinner in our new clubhouse courtesy Chef
Alain starting at 1800.
1st warning signal Sunday at 09.00 followed by up to three races.
Courses: ILCA NA Region Championships Regatta Courses.
Scoring: RSS A2 low point system. One discard with 5 or more races.
Three (3) races required for Championship. Add points per race as
follows:
Apprentices (35-44) 3 points
Masters (45-54) 2 points
Grand Masters (55-64) 1 points
Great Grand Masters (65+) 0 points
Awards: Top 3 in each category, plus first lady and first Radial
Entry Fee: $45 less $5 for USSA Membership for entries received on
or before August 31. $10 penalty for late entry. Social packages,
after race drinks and dinner Saturday, breakfast Sunday, $15 on or
before August 31, with $5 penalty for late requests.

DIRECTIONS: Deltaville is on the western shore of the Chesapeake
Bay and is approached via US 17 and US 33 regardless of whether
you drive on I-95 from the north or I-95 and I-64 from the south.
At Saluda continue east on US 33 to Deltaville and turn right
at the Little Sue Exxon station on Route 1102, and follow the
signs until you see Fishing Bay immediately in front of you.
Turn left and continue slowly for some 0.25 mile over multiple
speed bumps until you see the MORC dry sail area and hoist on your
