FBYC RACE COMMITTEE TRAINING
Indoor And On-The-Water Sessions
The club is stepping up efforts to increase the quality of our race committees through more training, both indoors during the off season and on the water (OTW) once the weather turns favorable.  To accommodate everyone, we are planning repeat sessions for both indoor and on-the-water training. We encourage every person who will be serving on race committees this coming year, either as PRO, Race Chair, or committee member, to attend one of each. The training will encompass three main areas -- general RC duties including the new STARTING SEQUENCE, specific needs for Offshore events, and specific needs for One-design events. And during the March 22 session, Randy Alley will be presenting some information regarding the offshore and one-design scoring systems.
INDOOR SESSIONS
(At The Clubhouse)
WHEN:
Saturday, March 8 and March 22─10:00 AM to 1:00 PM
(short break for lunch―bring your own)
ON THE WATER SESSIONS
(Will coincide with Crew Training more on this in another article)
WHEN:
Sunday, March 30 ― 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM
Saturday, April 5 ― 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM
