DESCRIPTION

The Long Distance Race is a handicap race open to any One Design boat 20' length or under at the water line. The Portsmouth Yardstick D-PN Handicap System will be used to score finishes. NO OPTIS WILL RACE IN THE LONG DISTANCE RACE DUE TO LONG DISTANCE AND RISK OF OPPRESSIVE HEAT

The number of the course selected by the Race Committee will be displayed on the Committee Boat prior to the Warning Signal.

TIME LIMIT

A time limit for this event will be 4 hours.

AWARDS

The skipper of the first place boat will receive the Hicks Trophy upon which his/her name will be engraved. Other places are as described in the Sailing Instructions.

CBYRA SANCTION

This event is not sanctioned for CBYRA High Point awards.
