Special Accommodations for 2004 Opti ACC

FBYC is very proud to host the 2004 USODA ACC Regatta. In order to accommodate all of the participants, several local resorts, hotels, motels and some local housing has been blocked off for all participants. Please consider any of the following options and use the indicated contact information to ensure you receive the reduced FBYC OPTI ACC rates.

Upon exhaustion of all local commercial lodging availability, some members of FBYC have offered space in their private homes for this event. There will be an administrative charge by FBYC of $125 per night for arranging lodging for a family unit or similar group in a member's home, in order to offset the expense of reservations, to approximate the cost of commercial lodging and to help finance the regatta. The Tides Lodge, Irvington, VA -Official Sponsor

The Lodge is separate property managed by the Tides Inn, www.tidesinn.com one of the Famous Small Hotels of the World on Carter's Creek in Irvington, VA.  The Lodge is an older, golf course oriented, motor hotel across the creek from the INN, at the Marina.  At present, this facility is scheduled for conversion to condominiums and opens only for groups.  The Lodge has agreed to open for this event with the discounted group rate of $115 per night, including an early Continental Breakfast on Saturday and Sunday.  These rooms include a few Kings and Queens and many rooms with Twins (some of which are joined as Kings).  The Fishing Bay Event Chair has guaranteed a minimum number of 40 room nights as an accommodation to our Regatta Guests.  Accordingly, you are strongly encouraged to book these rooms. 

The Lodge is located on the Tartan Golf Course.  It is reached by going through Irvington on Route 200 North, turning left on Route 646 at the "Mom and Pop" gas station; turning left at Christ Church on Route 709 to the Tartan Golf Course Entrance, then thru the course to the Lodge.  It is 20 miles and 25 minutes from Fishing Bay by excellent fast moving rural highways.

Also offered is the Inn View House, which has four bedrooms and rents for $460 per night.  It would be ideal for a group traveling together.

Finally, rooms at the Tides Inn luxury resort are also available at substantially discounted rates through the reservation number above by mentioning Fishing Bay.

Holiday Inn Express, Kilmarnock, VA

This too is an immaculate new property at 599 North Main St., Kilmarnock, VA 22482.  It is 25 miles from the club on excellent highways delayed only by passage thru Kilmarnock and White Stone (small towns). The layout is unusual and the new rooms are behind the highway facade and much nicer than they look from the highway pictured on the website.
