MAY 28 & 29 2005 (cont'd.)

RACE DAY 2 - Sunday, May 29 - RAPPAHANNOCK RIVER Races

PROGRAM

Boats not returning to FBYC on Sunday, May 29 may layover at Rappahannock River Yacht Club. RRYC will sponsor a potluck supper for all participants at their club after the races.

The PHRF Non Spinnaker class will have two subclasses, Single Headsail and Double Headsail. Class flags will be as provided in the FBYC Offshore General Sailing Instructions. The Single Headsail subclass will be allowed one (1) headsail downwind and the Double Headsail subclass shall be allowed two (2) headsails downwind. The subclasses will start together and sail the same courses.

Warning Signal

The warning signal for the first race will be at 1100.

Subsequent races

The Race Committee will signal its intention to run additional races by displaying Code Flag "R" at the finish line If Code Flag "R" is flying at the finish, competitors who have finished should remain in the vicinity of the Committee Boat, but keep clear of the finish line until their new starting sequence has started. Code Flag "R" will be lowered with a sound signal one (1) minute before the Warning Signal for the first class start of the subsequent race

COURSES

The Starting area will be in the Rappahannock River upstream of the Rappahannock River Bridge and downstream of Rappahannock R "R6" Fl R 4s Bell. The starting and finishing lines will be between the orange or yellow flag on the Committee boat and a drop-mark pursuant to Appendix D. A round-the-buoys course using drop marks as shown in Appendix D will be used, with a windward start attempted.

TIME LIMIT

If one boat in a class (i.e., PHRF SPIN, MORC, OR NON-SPIN) finishes within two (2) hours after the start for that class, then the race will be valid for all boats in that class.

SCORING

The series winner in each class with three or more boats (i.e., PHRF A, PHRF B, PHRF C, MORC, or NON-SPIN) will be the boat having the lowest total point score for the series. A boat may qualify for winning regardless of the number of races she has started. There will be no throw-outs for this series.

AWARDS

Awards for the day's races will be presented at the social event sponsored by the RRYC on Sunday, May 29, 2005.

CBYRA SANCTION

Each race day is sanctioned as a separate event for CBYRA High Point awards.
