LONG DISTANCE RACE

DESCRIPTION

The Long Distance Race is a handicap race open to any One Design boat 20' length or under at the water line. The Portsmouth Yardstick D-PN Handicap System will be used to score finishes. NO OPTIS WILL RACE IN THE LONG DISTANCE RACE DUE TO LONG DISTANCE AND RISK OF OPPRESSIVE HEAT. Early registration is encouraged @ www.fbyc.net.

The number of the course selected by the Race Committee will be displayed on the Committee Boat prior to the Warning Signal.

TIME LIMIT

A time limit for this event will be 4 hours.

AWARDS

The skipper of the first place boat will receive the Hicks Trophy upon which his/her name will be engraved. Other places are as described in the Sailing Instructions.

CBYRA SANCTION

This event is not sanctioned for CBYRA High Point awards.
