Opening Day Regatta

April 22, 2006

DESCRIPTION

This regatta will consist of one race for PHRF A, PHRF B/C, MORC, and PHRF NON-SPIN held on Opening Day. This race is NOT part of the Spring Series

Planned format for PHRF SPIN and PHRF NON-SPIN will be one medium distance race around government and drop marks. PHRF NON-SPIN will be sailed allowing only one (1) headsail downwind.

Planned format for MORC will be two or more round-the-buoys races to be substituted for the medium distance races depending on conditions.

PROGRAM

On Saturday, April 22, the Blessing of the Fleet will begin at 1600 hours, followed by awards and refreshments provided by FBYC. Dinner and entertainment will begin at 1830 hours.

Skipperís
Meeting

There will be a Skipperís Meeting at 0930 hours, at the flagpole adjacent to the Jackson Creek parking lot to review any changes to the GSIs and SSIs for the offshore races.

Warning Signal

The warning signal for the first race will be at 1100 hours.

Time limit

If one boat in a class finishes by 1700 hours, then the race will be valid for all boats in that class.

Opening Day and Blessing of the Fleet 2006

Saturday, April 22nd

 

Racers, Cruisers, and Jr’s, everyone is invited and encouraged to bless the fleet and enjoy this great event.

 

      Blessing of the Fleet and Cocktails   5:00 pm- 6:00pm 

      Dinner Docking Stations   6:00 pm-9:00 pm by White House Catering

Music and Dancing Outside    7:00 pm-10:00 pm
