ACCOMODATIONS:
Deltaville, Virginia, is a small village, with limited commercial
accommodations. Hotel accommodations are available in surrounding towns,
such as Irvington, Kilmarnock, and Gloucester. We have made group
arrangements for commercial accommodations at numerous local hotels and
camping and RV parks and details are available on the Special
Accommodations page. Click on Special Accomodations in the left margin for details. We also expect some
members of FBYC to offer accommodations in their homes. In addition, a
nearby private secondary school is providing a few rooms with cafeteria access at modest prices.
Limited tent camping (but no campers or RVs) will be allowed on site but
arrangements must be made in advance through the Housing Chair.

FBYC will provide a Continental Breakfast for competitors on each racing day.
There will be a Reception Sunday evening, June 24. Plans for other evening meals
have now been finalized. FBYC will provide evening meals for regatta participants
on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday nights and for the Board of Governors on Tuesday
night.
The Sunday Reception is at FBYC. The Monday dinner is at Christ
Church School on Route 33 near the Urbanna turnoff at Cook's Corner.

LAUNCHING, MOORING and STORAGE:
FBYC has a "bay side" and a "creek side" to its campus, which is on a
narrow isthmus. There is a concrete ramp on the bay side for trailer
launched boats. FBYC also has a hoist on the creek side. An additional
hoist facility may be arranged at a nearby marina and an additional
trailer launching facility has been arranged at a local community
association. The Registration Form has a space for each participant to
select dry sailing or wet sailing and the preferred method of launching,
subject to availability. Car parking will be in FBYC lots and nearby
fields. The bay side is sheltered from prevailing winds, but can get
rough in a southerly wind, so overnight mooring there is not
recommended. The creek side and marina basin are sheltered and virtually
never get rough. See the Chart of Racing Area and aerial photo of the
neighborhood for an overview of the area.
NOR and SAILING INSTRUCTIONS:
The NOR and Registration Form are now available above on this site and
on www.fssa.com. The NOR was published in
the January-February 2007 Issue of Scots-n-Water. The Sailing
Instructions will be available at the conclusion of registration as
stated in the NOR.
