September 27-28: RACE TO THE CRAB FEAST

For the last 4 years, we have had a Crab Feast at the end of our Fall Cruise at the Fairport Marina and Restaurant in Reedville. Fairportís owner, Roy Headley, is a local crabber. This may be the reason the crabs served are the best and biggest and cooked to perfection. In any case, if you are not a ìpicker,î you can eat off of the menu or the seafood buffet. Docking at the marina is easy and relatively inexpensive ($0.80/ft. last year). It is an easy 20 nm trip when the wind is not howling out of the north going or the south returning. So plan to sail to this event and enjoy a fun afternoon and evening
