The CIT Program
Each year CIT's provide invaluable assistance to the staff and learn
leadership, teaching and coaching skills
under the tutelege of our professional coaches. Motivated, experienced junior sailors ages 16 and older
are welcome to submit their sailing resume and apply for one of our Coach in Training positions.
Please contact Eric Powers for more details if you are interesting working with younger Juniors and
pursuing this opportunity to build your sailing resume.
High School Sailing
This season we are starting a cooperative program with St. Christopher's School in Richmond to provide opportunities for high school sailors
to join in regional high school sailing events. The teams use
club 420s and engage in team and fleet racing. This program is open to all FBYC sailors that are of high school age. FBYC's head coach Luis "Dingo" Canuto will be assisting in the development of this team during
month of May starting on May 5th. Practices are held on the James River just west of Richmond on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays. Regattas are
held at various host schools and clubs on Saturdays. For more information on this great program, please contact Mike Karn at 804-359-2894 or at
