How often can you go out for a short overnight sail and enjoy some of the Bay’s finest, freshest delights for dinner. For the last 5 years, we have had a Crab Feast at the end of our Fall Cruise at the Fairport Marina and Restaurant in Reedville. Fairport’s owner, Roy Headley, is a local crabber. This may be the reason the crabs served are the best and biggest and cooked to perfection. In any case, if you are not a “picker,” you can eat off of the regular menu. Last year our “pickers” did a great job and may have set a new record for crabs consumed. Docking at the marina is easy and relatively inexpensive. It is an easy 20 nm trip when the wind is not howling out of the north going or the south returning. So, plan to sail to this event and enjoy a fun afternoon and evening.
