This is a race management seminar for Prospective Club* Level Race Officers and other Race Committee (RC) team members looking to contribute to club racing at a higher level.

The Race Officer Certification program strives to:

• Make racing more enjoyable by improving the quality of race management
• Standardize race management practice to benefit competitors and RC members
• To identify qualified active race officers and make them available to organizers
• Provide structured training and continuing education
• To provide insurance coverage to certified race officers under US Sailing’s general liability policy

*The program has three levels:  Club, Regional, and National.

John and Jerry are thoroughly professional race officers who pepper the seminar with tips gained during their years of experience as PRO for regattas of all kinds.

If you simply wish to become a more informed and versatile member of the race committee we encourage you to attend this seminar.  You will discover the ins and outs and whys and wherefores applicable to all levels of regattas (junior, mid-week, weekend and championship).  There is no pressure to take the exam, and you will be able to network with others who will share their insight and experience.
