Cori Radtke - OPTI DEVELOPMENT TEAM COACH (ODT)
Cori started sailing when she was 6 and is inseparable from the water.  She first trained in Optis on Cape Cod and progressed to 420s, Flying Scotts, and Lasers at age 13 upon joining FBYC.  Starting in 8th Grade, she served as a starting helmsman for the Christchurch School Sailing Team, including the 2006 Virginia High School Championship team coached by Ms. Jill Shore Petrone.  Her success earned her several CCS awards for her outstanding performances and contributions to the CCS team. Her boat handling and tactics have developed under the tutelage of coaches such as Olympic coach Alejandro Cloos, U.S. Naval Academy coaches John Vandermoore and Ali Sharp, College of Charleston coach Howard Cromwell, and Royal Hamilton Dinghy Club coach Luis Chiapparro, among others.  She has raced a 420 or Laser Radial in many major East Coast events as well as the U.S. Junior Women’s Leiter Cup. Currently, Cori is a junior at Tabor Academy in Massachusetts where she sails for the nationally-ranked Tabor Sailing Team.  Her outstanding contributions were recognized with Tabor’s 2008 Ainger Trophy.  She was captain of her Field Hockey team and is currently a starter on the JV Basketball team.  Her future plans include studying Marine Ecology and sailing at the collegiate level.
