For those of you who missed the Rosegill picnic, you missed out on a great evening. We had 15 cruising boats in Urbanna after a beautiful sail up the river. The wind and tide were in our favor and a few of the cruising boats arrived before the PHRF fleet-I have to admit that the PHRF fleet went a little further out into the bay but the cruisers started last.Perfect weather, good food, good music, some libations, and good fellowship was shared by all. Say thanks to Mike Caulkins when you see him for a job well done.

The cruisers had breakfast in Urbanna before heading out for an anchor-out in the eastern branch of the Corrotoman. Beautiful weather again and libations were shared by all again. The sail back on Monday was also excellent. A great weekend-if you missed it, sorry.

Our next function is a Captain"s Choice on June 11,12,13 organized by the Stoakleys. Friday night will be Jimmy Buffet night at the club followed by a cruise Sat-Sun. Please watch for an e-mail with all of the details in the next few days. Also, please sign up on line as this gives the organizers a good head count and enables planning.

The Delmarva cruise is shaping up.We have 7 boats going the whole trip and 4 others joining for the second week beginning at Gibson Island and then another joining in St Marys for the Forth celebration. There is still plenty of time to sign up-come join the fun.

Remember the Leukemia Cup July 9,10,11. Please support this important function. It is extremely important to help raise money for LLS research and the weekend is also a lot of fun. Crab cakes return Friday night-I promise they will be good because I am making and cooking them. Saturday is race day followed by the gala on Sat night. The menu Sat night will be BBQ and fried fish with Sweet Justice providing the music. Sunday racing followed by awards. Cruisers made up a big fleet last year and I encourage everyone to get out on the course and help break the record this year both in numbers and in money raised.
