klok960.jpg The following report came in from Thomas Klok, brother of Marie Crump, Will Crump's wife. I am told the fleet included 6 former J80 World Champions. Results available here.

"In light of all the bad news with the recent tornado, here are some good news.

As you know, I am campaigning my J/80 Guldfaxe for the Worlds in Copenhagen later this year. As part of the preparation I had entered this years Annapolis NOOD.

I have previously relied on sailing rockstars to provide the boat with the edge to win races, but have so far failed to win any regattas.

It was obvious that I needed to step up my game, so I packed all the Fishing Bay talent I could onto the boat. I convinced my sister Marie to take charge of the pointy end of the boat. Placed her husband Will Crump on the tiller in the other end, and got Scott Collins to sit between us all and look for wind. As the father of three kids, Scott also had the reqired skills to keep the all-family crew in check.

And boy did that work. Not only did we win the nail-biting 8 race series in the J/80 class, we also won the overall Annapolis NOOD trophy based on winning the most competitive fleet.

Give my best to your family, Thomas Klok"
