The schooner Virginia was launched and christened last week in Norfolk.  A heart warming presence among the notables attending was Gary Jobson, one of the special invited guests at the christening.  Also, adding special words and thoughts at the christening was Bill Pinkney, former Master of the Amistad America.  There were several local racers at the christening Friday, including, but not limited to,  Larry Bryant, Don Wade, Ben Cuker, and Thom Thornton.   And, of course Governor Mark Warner and his wife, Lisa Collis, who actually christened the Virginia, were top officials in attendance.
