Gary Jobson, pre-eminent ambassador for sailing in the U.S., will present 2 short films at the Mathews Film Society event this Wednesday 6/15/16 at 7 p.m. in the Mathews High School Auditorium.  The  films are "The Magic & Mystery of Sable Island" and "Ted Turner's Greatest Race."  For more information about Gary, the event, and the films, check out the Mathews Film Society website: http://mathewsfilmsociety.wix.com/film#!specialevents/c24vq   Admission is free, but donations are always welcome.

Junior Week is Not Just for the Kids!

There's still time to sign-up for Junior Week's Sailing Seminars....for the ADULTS.  Learn how to troubleshoot problems with a diesel engine; the latest in IPAD navigation; how to anchor in our neck of the bay; and docking made easy!

Museum Reception an Elegant Affair

Over 90 people attended our reception at the Deltaville Maritime Museum on Saturday evening of Memorial Day weekend. The reception inaugurated FBYC’s permanent exhibit and was a gesture of gratitude to the Museum and its Board Members for allowing us to highlight our historic role in the Deltaville community. For those who were not able to be there for the reception, a visit there is highly recommended to explore everything that the Deltaville Maritime Museum and Holly Point Nature Park have to offer. And for the price of admission, you can choose a membership option instead.

We are donating a major portion of the funds generated by the admission charge to the Museum in support of their mission in the …

2015 Urbanna Fireworks Cruise! - July 1-3

This year’s Fireworks Cruise to Urbanna, VA will take place Friday, July 1st through Sunday, July 3rd.  The fireworks show will be held on Saturday, July 2nd over Urbanna Creek.

Friday:

  • Fun Cruising Race from FBYC to Urbanna
  • Dockside at Town Marina and Flip-flop Dining in Downtown Urbanna

Saturday:

  • Coffee Shop Fog-Lifter Walk
  • Mai Tai Social at Town Marina
  • Fireworks Extravaganza

Sunday:

  • Transit from Urbanna to FBYC
