DSC_0618.jpgBy know you've all probably heard about Bob and Lisa Fleck and the crew of Mad Hatter receiving the Labrot Trophy for best overall performance in CBYRA events last year.  Congratulations!

But they're not alone.  In Region 4N, two other members also made FBYC proud:  Glen Doncaster's Nanuq in PHRF A and Miles Booth on Shenanigan in PHRF B also took top honors.  We're grateful for them and their crew representing FBYC on such a prestigious and competitive stage.  Here's to a successful 2020 for all our sailors!

I wanted to share with everyone that Fishing Bay Yacht Club has accepted an invitation to participate in Annapolis Yachts Club's inaugural 3-2-1 regatta. This event is designed specifically for team racing and has participants coming from outside the Chesapeake Bay. FBYC is delighted to receive an invitation to this fall event and looks forward to again demonstrating our capabilities in the northern bay.

Learn to sail or improve your skills with our popular annual sailing course for anyone interested in a team sport that will challenge the most competitive and give a lifetime of enjoyment to anyone who loves outdoor sports and good fun.

Fishing Bay YC Team Wins the Annapolis Yacht Club Inter-Club Team Race Challenge

Fishing Bay's string of 5 consecutive seasons of participating in team racing events around the bay was extended last weekend with an exciting, and significant, win at the Annapolis Yacht Club Inter-Club Team Race Challenge. Fishing Bay's Team for the event, skippers Chris McDowell, Dan Herlihy and Ben Buhl, along with crews Carrie Russell, Jay Buhl, John and Sharon Wake and Mike Karn, with pick-up Annapolis sailor Sam Septembre, took home the championship trophy last weekend in Annapolis, besting teams from Annapolis YC, Eastport YC, Severn Sailing Association and Hampton YC. The event was a two-day, 40-race event sailed in AYC's J22s, with no spinnakers and 3 people per boat.
