Eligibility: Starts will be offered for the following classes: PHRF Spinnaker, Non Spinnaker, J/105, Leukemia (Cruising) and Classic yachts designed 1976 and earlier. Cruising Class & Classic Class will receive a courtesy rating which may not be appealed. If sufficient yachts are registered, classes may be subdivided, one design classes may be added or classes may be combined to enhance the quality of racing. PHRF-NS will be sailed allowing only one (1) headsail to be set at a time downwind. All PHRF boats must have a current valid PHRF rating certificate and must meet current category 4P, 5P or 6P of the PHRF Equipment and Accommodation Standards.
Rendezvous: On SATURDAY at 1000.
On SUNDAY at 0900.
Start: On SATURDAY, the first warning signal will be at 1100. On SUNDAY, the first warning signal will be at 1000.
Signals: Multiple races will be attempted each day
Course: Drop mark courses in the Chesapeake Bay off Stingray Point.
Rules: This regatta will be governed by the ‘rules’ as defined in The Racing Rules of Sailing 2009-2012 (RRS). RRS 63.7, Conflict between Rules, is replaced by, "If there is a conflict between the Event Sailing Instructions and the Notice Of Race, the Event Sailing Instructions shall apply." The printed Event Sailing Instructions will be available at Registration.
Scoring: The Low Point Scoring System will be used. There will be no throw-outs.
Social: Registration, Check-In and all shoreside social activities will be hosted at Stingray Point Marina on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Crab cake dinner & auction Friday 08 July 2011; tickets are $15 each. Gala on Saturday 09 July 2011; tickets are $20 each.
Skippers’ Meeting: There will be a brief skippers meeting for the Cruising & Classic Classes only at Stingray Point Marina at 1930 on Friday 08 July 2011.
Sanction: The event is sanctioned for CBYRA High Point awards for PHRF Spinnaker and Non- Spinnaker and J/105 classes only.
Other: As a race participant on Saturday 09 July and Sunday 10 July 2011, you will receive as goodie bag, (1) Official Leukemia Cup regatta t-shirt & hat provided to each registered Skipper, (1) ticket for the Gala on Saturday 09 July.
