WARNING The warning signal for the first race each day will be at 1100 hours.

SUBSEQUENT RACES Multiple races are planned each day.

STARTING AREA The Committee Boat could be anywhere from Piankatank R. G “5” (FBYC “A”) and Piankatank R. Lt. R “2” Fl R 4s (FBYC “F”) or beyond.

COURSES These course instructions apply to all races.

If conditions warrant, the Race Committee will fly Code Flags “F” over “B” when leaving the dock and hail on Channel 72 indicating its intention to race in Fishing Bay and the adjacent Piankatank River.

Courses for PHRF NON-SPIN and CRUISING classes shall, to the extent practical under the course conditions, utilize government marks or drop marks to produce courses, which offer a variety of points of sail and are not limited to windward/leeward courses.

TIME LIMITS The time limit for any race in the series shall be 2.5 hours calculated from the actual start time of each class or subclass. If one boat in a class or subclass finishes within the time limit, boats still racing that do not finish within 30 minutes of the first boat finishing in her class will be scored TLE (Time Limit Expired) which will be equal to the number of finishers plus two. This changes RRS 35 and A4.2 .

SCORING The Spring Series winner in each class or subclass will be the boat having the highest score for the series based on the “High-Point Percentage Scoring System”. A boat may qualify for scoring in the series only if she has participated in 51% or more of the total races for the series. There are no throw outs. Boats who attains 100% participation will receive an additional 3 points added to the sum of her race scores. Daily awards are awarded based on the “Low-Point Scoring System”.
