JUNIOR WEEK
June 22-26, 2015
Junior Week, June 22nd through June 26th, is for Juniors age 6 to 18 and consists of five days of sailing instruction in the following classes: Beginning Opti, Advanced Beginner Opti, Intermediate Opti I, II, & III, Racing Opti, Advanced Racing Opti, 420 Racing, Laser Radial Racing, and Group Sailing (for teens who wish to sail with crew). New for 2015 is Beginning Lasers. Junior Week is a great way for Juniors to kick-off their sailing season, with lots of on- and off-the-water instruction, hanging with their friends and spending time with their parents! Juniors completing Opti Kids who want to continue their training may participate in Beginning Opti.

UPDATE as of March 24 - registration has been closed for Junior Week as we have reached our capacity. At this time there remain other opportunities for training for Junior Sailors.
- We offer Private Lessons during the summer. To schedule lessons please contact the coordinator, Mary Almany at malmany@verizon.net. Non-club members are welcome.
- Additionally we have scheduled a new week due to high demand for OptiKids and Beginning Opti during Junior Week, we are offering a second session for beginning Opti sailors! - to be called August OptiWeek. The session will run August 10-13, 2015, and will be for sailors aged 6-10. Registration for August OptiWeek is at https://www.fbyc.net/Registration/entry?event_id=1509
- Finally, we have Fun Sail scheduled for July 11. Intended for sailors who have completed Opti Kids and/or Beginner, the Fun Sail will be an afternoon of fun and adventure in club owned Optis led by an experienced Instructor and an ODT Coach. Activities will include watermelon races, backward races, blindfolded races, a scavenger hunt and harbor cruise; followed by pizza at the pool! Be ready to get wet!
