85th ANNUAL ONE DESIGN REGATTA

Saturday-Sunday, July 20-21, 2024

DESCRIPTION The 85th Annual One Design Regatta, hosted by Fishing Bay Yacht Club, will consist of two days of racing, fun and camaraderie.  There may be multiple courses for eligible one-design classes.  A Portsmouth Yardstick handicapped class will be offered for boats who do not have enough boats for a one-design class. 

REGISTRATION Advance registration is expected by all participants at on Regatta Network.

NOTICE OF RACE Available Spring 2024

EXPECTED CLASSES Flying Scot, ILCA (6 & 7), Melges 15, Hampton One Design, Isotope, Weta, Albacore, Optimist (Red, Blue, White and Green fleets) & Portsmouth Handicap.

LATE REGISTRATION & CHECK IN Friday night 1700-1900 and Saturday 0800-0925

SKIPPERS' MEETING All classes will meet at 0930 on the Fishing Bay side of the main clubhouse for general regatta announcements.

RACING The warning signal for the first start on Saturday will be at 1130 followed by subsequent races.  The warning signal for the first start on Sunday will be at 1000 followed by subsequent races. 

FEE Coming Spring 2024.

SOCIAL Pre-purchased dinners will be available Saturday evening around 1800.

AWARDS  Awards will be presented Sunday afternoon as soon after racing as possible. The John R. Hawksworth Trophy will be presented to the overall winner.

VOLUNTEER  Volunteer sign up opportunities will be posted Spring 2024.
