Fishing Bay Yacht Club is pleased to offer its popular Annual Crew Training Sailing Course, designed for both newcomers to sailing and those with some prior experience. It is an ideal pathway for learning how to get involved as crew on racing sailboats. Whether you are looking to begin sailing or to further develop your skills, this course provides an excellent introduction to the excitement of a team-based sport that can be enjoyed for a lifetime. Sailing is a sport for all ages, and racing elevates the experience to an entirely new level.
Course Overview
The program includes three classroom sessions and a reception with skippers and crew held in Richmond, followed by a full-day, on-the-water training session in Deltaville (approximately 70 minutes east of Richmond. Instruction is provided by experienced FBYC racing skippers and crew with backgrounds in local, national, and international competition. Participants will gain practical, hands-on experience aboard FBYC racing boats.

Registration Information
• Fee: $60 (includes course materials, on-the-water session, and social event). Registration is required to participate in the on-the-water training.
• Who: Open to adult beginners and intermediate sailors interested in crewing on racing sailboats. The course is open to both FBYC members and non-members.
Schedule
• Classroom Sessions: Tuesdays, March 24, March 31, and April 7, from 6:30–9:00 PM
• Meet the Skippers: Friday, April 10th from 6:30-9 PM
• On-the-Water Training: Saturday, April 18 (full day)
