NOTICE The event information below, used in conjunction with theGeneral One Design Notice of Race, comprises the complete NOTICE OF RACE for the event.
DESCRIPTION This is a single day of racing including a One Design training session. If we can't be in the Caribbean, we might as well be on the Chesapeake! Join us for a Caribbean-inspired regatta. Ability grouped fleets (A and B fleets) will be in effect during this race for classes that elect this option prior to the start of the event.
REGISTRATION Advance registration is encouraged at www.fbyc.net, the link on the event page under documents or directly on Regatta Network.
CLASSES Flying Scot, Front Runner, as well as any class of any three or more like or unlike One-Design boats. The Portsmouth Number (D-PN) handicapping system will be used to score classes of unlike boats. If there are fewer than three Portsmouth class boats they may participate in a parent class fleet (eg. Flying Scot) and race against them under the Portsmouth system. The parent class will still maintain their own separate class scoring.

ON-WATER TRAINING Wind permitting, we will conduct on the water coaching, tailored to participants needs, and ending in time for to sail in the Sea Breeze Event. Popular subjects include starting tactics, Spinnaker handling, and mark rounding. The on-water coach may continue to help the B fleets during the race. Please register separately for Training session, and contact the Club Manager and/or the training coordinator if you need a boat or crew to participate.
