The question always comes up among FBYC members - How can we increase participation in our events. One of the excuses always is - "I can't find any crew". For the last several months, a link to iwanttosail-subscribe@fbyc.net has been posted on the FBYC home page. It is designed as a means to recruit people - members and non-members alike, who want to sail but do not know whom to ask.A month ago there were 43 people on the list, mostly added as a result of the member surveys. Today there are 54 people on the list, the last 11 are non-members who subscribed in the last month.

This past weekend, there we two crew members aboard boats at FBYC who were invited to sail by an owner who sent an e-mail invitation to iwanttosail@fbyc.net. They all had a good time and plan to return. I briefly removed the link to iwanttosail-subscribe@fbyc.net but I have now added it back to the home page.

Anyone interested in sailing with us at FBYC is welcome to subscribe to that list or any other list we have at our Mailing Lists Page
