FIRST, is the CLOSING DAY OYSTER ROAST on Saturday, Nov 3 at the MAIN CLUBHOUSE. Join everyone in welcoming back our Offshore sailors from their competition on the water and to celebrate a fantastic season. All party goers bring the customary dish to share with others at our Buffet Table. We’ll have oysters, of course—steamed, raw and fixed a variety of ways. Our grillmasters will offer burgers and hotdogs with all the fixings. Enjoy ice cold beer brought to you by Beales, maker of fine Virginia craft beers. Join in congratulating some of our best sailors as a number of FBYC perpetual trophies are awarded as well as Series Awards for Offshore and One Design. NEXT up is the annual COMMODORES BALL on Sat. Nov 17th. Join your friends in a fantastic evening of dining, dancing and swinging to the music of the popular Alex Crain and his band. We have a Cocktail Reception, the Annual Business Meeting and a gourmet Surf & Turf Dinner followed by our AWARDS CEREMONY. We’ll give a big round of applause to the winners of our prestigious perpetual trophies. These will go to our best Junior, Offshore & One Design racers and Cruisers. Can’t make the dinner? No problem, buy the Dessert package and enjoy a special Viennese Dessert Display and dancing starting at 8:30.
