Dear Fellow Sailors and Club Members:
 
The purpose of this email is to announce a dramatically enhanced Stingray Point Regatta designed to not only be a first class sailing event, but a fun weekend for  members to spend their Labor Day weekend at  FBYC. You don't have to sail to help celebrate! Get off you boat in Jackson Creek, walk across the street, and join in the fun! Skippers, please encourage your crew to join in the festivities.

A dramatically enhanced Stingray Point Regatta has been designed to not only be a first class sailing event but a fun weekend for members to spend their Labor Day weekend at the club.

Sailing Classes include PHRF Spinnaker, PHRF Non-Spinnaker, J-105, and Cruising.  The Regatta will be sailed over three days vs. two in previous years. We will have daily awards on Friday and Saturday and on Sunday will have class awards and award the Brent Halsey Jr. Memorial Trophy and the Potts Southern Bay Challenge Cup.  Sailing on Friday is not mandatory - see details on web site.
 
Social Events are designed not only to draw sailors and crew, but offer Fishing Bay YC members a great opportunity to spend a fun weekend at the club. There will be a poolside cocktail party Friday night, followed by a buffet dinner and live entertainment overlooking Fishing Bay. Saturday after the cocktail party, you will be served table side under a large event tent in the club’s front yard before daily awards are given and a great band with a stage and dancing commence. On Sunday, enjoy the club’s pool and an old fashioned Labor Day Cookout in the afternoon, coupled with the final awards ceremony.
 
By now you realize we have really stepped up the event with the goal of attracting 50-60 boats and attracting all FBYC members!  We have created various pricing packages for different levels of participation to attract families who may not be sailing.
 
The Regatta is being marketed both on the Northern and Southern Bay, to FBYC Offshore and Cruising classes, holders of PHRF certificates, to local yacht clubs and marinas, and during Southern Bay Race Week in Hampton.
