Two hurricanes passing offshore earlier in the week threatened to disrupt the 44th Chesapeake Bay ILCA Masters Championship, but both storms turned north just in time to leave Fishing Bay Yacht Club with a picture-perfect fall weekend- clear skies, mild temperatures, and no sign of tropical weather. From October 3–5, Brant Beach Yacht Club hosted the Melges 15 U.S. Nationals, bringing together over 70 boats in one of the most competitive fleets of the season. FBYC was proudly represented by four boats and an outstanding group of sailors: Madeleine and Parker Garrett, Teddy Bower and Clarke Garrett, Cyrus Garrett and John Hubbard, and Ziggy Krzyzewski and Ela Wermus.
