September 5 & 6, 2009


DESCRIPTION This regatta will consist of up to five round-the-buoys races; with as many as three races sailed on Saturday, September 5, and as many as two races sailed on Sunday, September 6, 2009.
REGISTRATION Information regarding registration, classes, social activities, awards, etc., will be available from David Hinckle and at www.fbyc.net/Events . The deadline for registration is Thursday, September 3, 2009 by 1800.

SAILING INSTRUCTIONS Skippers will receive Special Sailing Instructions at registration.
CLASSES Starts will be offered for PHRF Spinnaker, PHRF Non Spinnaker, and J105 classes. If sufficient yachts are registered, the classes may be subdivided, one-design classes may be added or classes may be combined and different courses designated for each subdivision as is warranted to enhance the quality of racing. See Special Sailing Instructions.

RACE AREA Chesapeake Bay off the mouth of the Piankatank River
COURSE Races will be round-the-buoys courses using drop marks or government marks listed in the Special Sailing Instructions.
CBYRA SANCTION This is a sanctioned event for CBYRA High Point awards.

This is a band whose illustrious indie career spans three decades. 2007 has been big : Cashmere Jungle Lords performed at Summerfest 2007 with Gov't Mule in Manteo, NC; Shamrock the Block St. Patrick's Day Festival at 17th St. Farmer's Market in Richmond, VA; opened the inaugural edition of The Capitol City Carnival in Centreville, VA and also performed at The Neptune Festival in Virginia Beach, VA. They recently licensed all of the songs from their CD releases to MTV and Oxygen Network. Their music graces episodes of Bad Girls Club, Real World, Road Rules and America's Psychic Challenge. A previously unreleased song, "The Rip Snorter", can be heard in an episode of NBC's Friday Night Lights.
