Join the FBYC YAMs as we celebrate the season at the Richmond Christmas Parade followed by a family friendly holiday party at the home of Katie and Arch Durham on Saturday, December 1st. We will be at the Richmond Christmas parade from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., at the intersection of Lombardy and W Broad Street with continued festivities 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Durham residence on Grove Avenue.

This past Saturday approximately thirty members and their guests rallied for Richmond's annual Christmas Parade, followed shortly thereafter by a warm holiday gathering hosted by YAM Committee Members Arch and Katie Durham. Despite a little mist in the air attendance was strong at the parade where children were elated to see the 'Big Guy in Red' welcome them with waving arms and joyous cheer. The gathering afterwards was absolutely wonderful...a beautifully decorated home packed full of tasty holiday treats and seasonal beverages for all to share. Sincerest thanks to all who came to enjoy the day and especially to our gracious host family, the Durhams!

The Young Adult Members Committee is pleased to announce its action-packed schedule for 2019. This year's highlights include a pre-season bowling night March 23rd in Richmond; an enhanced "Last Friday of the Month" movie night series, which was clearly a family-favorite for kicking the weekend; a fully loaded Memorial Day weekend; several unique cruise-in-company excursions; three different themed cookouts; and, of course, our penultimate annual corn hole tournament over Labor Day weekend. The YAM committee will have the pool and beach decked out with colorful Hawaiian decorations along with steady beats of great-mood tunes. We fire up the grill at 12:30 for you to bring & toss on your favorite cookout foods, and then a series of adult and child-friendly games get going around 2:00 pm...rumor has it there will be an egg toss, awesome tropical tattoos, greased watermelon, pong-cup, pool float races, and who knows what other surprises may be in store!?!?

I am completely amazed how rich the "Corinthian spirit" has been at our club and how many members are volunteering for our upcoming two day regatta. After a year of being bound by a computer our kids finally have the opportunity to be on the water again to represent our amazing sailing program and club. We are hosting the Virginia State Championship which is also the season opener for CBYRA. With registration open for about a month we have been successfully amassing an army of volunteers to serve over 100 sailors along with their family and friends. As far as the eye can see will be an armada of kids geared and ready to give it their all June 26-27th …
