The racing will be a One Design “long distance” race. It’s a fun, casual race – any sailboat under 20’ long is welcome (no Optis though, due to the heat and distance).  See here for more info and to sign up.

Following a fabulous June week at Fishing Bay where over 175 juniors learned the love of sailing in small boats is one of FBYC’s major invitationals, the 86th Annual One Design Regatta, AOD.

Groovin’ Cruise: Sailing, Sandbars & Country Tunes | June 28–29

Get ready for Groovin’ Cruise 2025, a weekend of sailing fun, sandbar hangs, and live music. Led by John Koedel, this event blends relaxed sailing with good vibes and great company.

Saturday kicks off with a casual sail around the marks near FBYC A (Piankatank 5). It is not an official race, but let’s be honest, if two boats are going the same direction, it kind of is. After the sail, anchor or raft up in Jackson Creek and take your dinghy over to the sandbar. Bring your own drinks, snacks, floaties, and chill attitude. It is the perfect spot to relax and catch up with friends.
