IT’S OFFICIAL – FALL BEGINS THIS COMING SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 22^ND.

FLYING SCOT ATLANTIC COAST CHAMPIONSHIPS.   Rob Whittemore and crew John Wake are the 2013 FlyingScotAtlanticCoast Champions!  The duo had a string of 1-1-2-1-1 for the two day, 5 race regatta held at Toms River YC in New Jersey this past weekend.  Twenty-one boats sailed in the championship fleet.  Also racing were Len Guenther (5^th overall) and Jay Buhl (11^th overall).  All three southern Bay boats sail out of Fishing Bay Yacht Club.

WOLF TRAP RACE.  Twenty-five (25) boats filled with skippers and crew completed the 25 mile distance race on Saturday, before dark, most between 4 and 5pm …

Due to timing and logistical issues on Saturday, the awards for the Wolf Trap race were delayed. As a result, the Wolf Trap awards will be given this coming Saturday after Fall Series 1. Thank you to all who participated in the event as the 26 boat fleet made their way around the course.

Hospice Turkey Shoot Regatta

The Hospice Turkey Shoot Regatta is now in its 18^th year and will be hosted this year by the Rappahannock River Yacht Club in Irvington, assisted by the Yankee Point Racing and Cruising Club, on October 11-13. This regatta is a major fund raising event for local Hospice organizations, and by participating, it helps ensure that Hospice volunteers can continue to serve local communities.
