FBYC Members:

We are closely monitoring the track of Hurricane Joaquin.

We request that all boat owners, those with vessels on the FBYC docks as well as those in dry storage, secure their property in preparation for high winds and abnormally high tides.   Although Club Manager Dixon Cole and others may be present during the upcoming storm, FBYC is not responsible for damage to your vessel or damage your vessel may cause to others.

Please continue to monitor email and the FBYC web site for any additional notices or updates.

Thank you.

Laser Fall Regatta Cancellation

Tomorrow's Laser Fall Regatta is cancelled due to the weather forecast and predicted coastal flooding that would make it difficult to come and go from the club.

Indian Summer Regatta: Cancelled

Jon Deutsch on

One Design Racing
The One Design Indian Summer Regatta for Saturday has been canceled. With the very likely outcome of high winds, lots of rain and high tides - the fun factor is probably not going to be high enough for most of us to want to be out there.

As of now the Laser Fall Regatta is still on for Sunday and will be held unless something is posted otherwise.  We'll look see late Saturday if this weather system is sticking around or will be moving off and cancel then if it looks dire.

The next and last one design racing opportunity of the season is the One Design Closing Day and will be held on Sunday, October 11.

Maleah Brown enjoying a Private Lesson

It has been a busy summer for the Junior Division, not just during Opti Kids, Junior Week, the Junior Olympics and the Race Teams, but also for our Educational Programs following Opti Kids and Junior Week. Our hope at the beginning of the summer was to keep kids on the water learning and having fun after Opti Kids and Junior Week. Parents and sailors could choose from one or all three non-racing programs, and from beginner to advanced. All were great follow-ups to the larger classes of Opti Kids and Junior Week. The primary goal was the same-to encourage kids to fall in love with sailing by having a great time! The programs were …
