Conserve Water – Water is a Precious and Limited Resource

Rob Whittemore on

Club News

With the increased activity level at the club during Jr Week also comes our peak water usage of the season. Please do your part to help us conserve water. As in the past, we will have porta-potties on site for Jr Week. Please use them whenever possible. If you notice a hose or faucet left on, please turn it off. Please report any water leaks, etc. to Brian Ankrom immediately. All of these actions will help limit the stress on our water system and ensure we will continue to have the high-quality water we have come to expect.

Thanks for your attention to this critical matter.

Club News

The season is just getting going but it’s not too early to think about the East Coast’s premier boat show in Annapolis this October. To elevate your “boat envy” or just go shopping with your fellow FBYC members, we’re chartering a bus—call it an Adult Field Trip-- leaving Richmond for the show’s VIP day on Thursday, October 4. (This is the best day to go. Smaller crowds and more time to walk some decks.)

Right now, the plan is to leave at 7 am and arrive at the show when it opens at 10 am. There will be breakfast “on board” but we promise, no follow-up homework required. We’ll then return the same day …
