Offshore Fall Series III is this Saturday. The standings remain tight with several tie breakers in effect. Remember - standings for series events this year are scored following the High Point Percentage scoring system - so you need a minimum of 51% participation to qualify for the series. Art on Fishing Bay, one of Middlesex Countys premier art shows, has teamed up again with The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society on this 13th anniversary year of the Southern Chesapeake Leukemia Cup series. Art on Fishing Bay continues to exceed attendance expectations year over year. So mark your calendar for Friday, June 3, 6:00 9:00 PM, at the Fishing Bay Yacht Club in Deltaville and arrive early to have your pick of arts and crafts produced by many local and regional exhibiting artists.
What started as an informal invitation to Kathleen Noffsinger to show her work to the Wednesday night group at the Fishing Bay Yacht Club in Deltaville several years ago, has turned into a huge annual art show. It now features the best artists and craftsmen in the middle peninsula region and in conjunction with The Leukemia Cup Regatta is a benefit to raise money for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
Over 200 FBYC members and guests attended the 2003 Art on Fishing Bay held July 9th at Fishing Bay Yacht Club. This year's event was held in conjunction with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society as a fundraiser. Fifteen artists exhibited their works; among them eight were FBYC members or had past association with the club. Each artist donated a piece of their work for the Silent Auction held on July 11th.
