The 21st running of a regatta that was started in 1982 by Alain Vincey saw 23 sailors sail seven great races. Peter Seidenberg , the only GGM, got off to a good start with a win in the first race, and held off Mark Bear. Mark finished with five first and one second place finishes after throwing out a third and was first Master. Peter's throw out was a fourth. First Grand Master was John Bentley, first lady Karen Long and first Radial Jane Schmidt. It was Fishing Bay was at it's best, with a steady 20 knots both days primarily from the SW.Four races on Saturday were clearly enough for all, as were three more on Sunday …

Captains Choice Cruise October 2nd and 3rd, 2004
Following a potluck supper on Friday night, the Captains of "Inn-the-Mood", "Obsession", "Nugget", and "Magic" huddled in front of the TV set at the Clubhouse to determine just when the skies would open on Saturday. Joe Schott predicted safe winds and weather in such a convincible manner that all boats decided to brave the elements and sail to The Corrotoman at Noon on Saturday.
Joe was right . . . a great sail up the Rappahannock in time for all boats. We rafted and then boarded Nugget for an early evening cruise to every single tributary on the west branch. No small creek ( even 20 ft wide ) was too small, and no shoal too …

We have canceled this weekends cruise and rescheduled it for Oct. 30-31, Sat.-Sunday.
Unfortunately, everyone but us, was committed to another activity for this weekend, so I thought we might try it again, using a two day format, for Oct. 30-31. It can be beautiful in late October, or it might be a little bit of a challenge. Please RSVP to me at doctorlasik@aol.com and/or sign up on the website. If you have any questions, please call or email me directly.
The format will be the same in that I'll make a decision as to the best location to go, depending on the currents, winds, etc. I'll post the destination on the website and …

Dymer Creek CRUISE September, 11-12, 2004
Alise Hilbert invited the FBYC cruising group to her lovely home on Dymer Creek for the weekend of Sept. 11-12, 2004. The weather was very cooperative, as were the winds. We enjoyed a nice cocktail party on the patio overlooking the creek and pool. Some of us went swimming, although most watched! Dinner was highlighted by Joe and Carolyn Schotts charcoal grilled steaks. Alise opened her home to FBYC, and we all enjoyed the hospitality; thanks Alise!
Those in attendance included: Bill and Alicia Archer, Alan and Alta Bower, Mike and Marcia Plenninger, Vic and Jane Denunzio, Ed and Diane OConner, Rip and Doris Radcliff, Tony and Kate Sakowski, Joe and Carolyn …
